For a dining room or kitchen with wood underfoot, Salted Biscotti from Biyork's Nouveau 8 collection is an engineered European oak worth considering. Its boards measure 8-1/2" wide, 3/4" thick and up to 86" long, and the wirebrushed, character grade surface shows knots and grain rather than hiding them. Engineered hardwood uses a real oak wear surface on a layered base, which handles seasonal humidity swings better than solid planks. The floor is approved for installation on, above or below grade, and radiant heat is compatible too. Tongue and groove edges keep the boards in line.
