We look at the subfloor before we quote, because an engineered floor is only as flat as what sits under it, and we tell you then whether the boards should be nailed, glued or floated for your house. On a concrete slab in a condo that usually means an engineered board, glued or floated, rather than solid wood.
We match new work to the floors you already have, keep the house usable while the sequence allows, and finish with trim and transitions that sit flush. If your staircase is carpeted, we can recap it in the same wood while we are there.
We work across Toronto, Vaughan and Woodbridge, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham and Richmond Hill, for homeowners, condo units and commercial spaces.
We are licensed, insured to $2 million and WSIB compliant. Our workmanship is warranted for up to two years, and most of the floors we carry come with a manufacturer warranty of 20 to 40 years residential, 10 to 20 commercial.
Engineered or solid, and what it costs
Engineered boards put a real wood face over a layered core, so they handle the humidity swings of a Toronto winter and the concrete slab of a condo far better than solid wood, and they can be laid in herringbone, wide plank and chevron just the same. Solid hardwood still suits a plywood subfloor in a detached house.
Engineered hardwood installation is from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails. Engineered floors that only click together and float are from $3.20 per square foot. Solid hardwood is from $4.50 per square foot. The price you get after the measure is a fixed written price.
Taking up your old floor is included. We carry Origins, Lucid, GreenTouch, Fuzion, Richmond, Shaw and Vidar, or we install material you have already bought once we have checked it.

Solid hardwood is $4.50 per square foot installed and engineered hardwood is $4.90 per square foot, including the glue and the nails. The price is fixed in writing after a free in-home measure, so nothing is added on the day.
Should I choose solid or engineered hardwood?
Engineered handles Toronto’s humidity swings better and can go over concrete, which makes it the usual answer for condos and basements. Solid hardwood has more thickness to sand, so it can be refinished more times over its life. We will tell you which suits your subfloor at the measure.
Can hardwood be installed over concrete or in a basement?
Engineered hardwood can, glued or floated, because its layered construction copes with the moisture that comes up through a slab. Solid hardwood is not suitable below grade. If you want the look of solid wood downstairs, engineered is the way to get it.
How long does a hardwood installation take?
Most homes are finished in one to three days. You will know the dates before we start, and the site is cleaned at the end of every day.

We supply and install, and we carry over 5,000 floors from brands including Shaw, Vidar, Grandeur, Fuzion and Goodfellow, so most people choose from our range. Send us your square footage and we will quote the floor and the installation together.
