Our
Approach
Tile is unforgiving of a poor base, so we start with the subfloor: it has to be flat and rigid, and we tell you at the free measure whether it needs levelling before any tile is ordered. The layout is set out from the centre of the room or the main sightline, so cuts land where they are least seen.
Grout and sealing follow once the tile has cured, the price you get is a fixed written price, and we work across Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham and Richmond Hill.
We are licensed, insured to $2 million and WSIB compliant. Our workmanship is warranted for up to two years, and most of the floors we carry come with a manufacturer warranty of 20 to 40 years residential, 10 to 20 commercial.
What tile installation costs
Floor tile installation is from $13.50 per square foot for porcelain and ceramic. Tile takes more labour than any other floor: the subfloor has to be flat and rigid, the layout is set out before the first tile goes down, and grout and sealing follow once it has cured. Taking up the old floor is included, and we can supply the tile too; levelling, if it’s needed, is quoted after the free measure.
The price you get after the measure is a fixed written price, with no hourly billing. Our tile installation cost guide works the price out at real room sizes, from a 100 sq ft entry to a whole floor.
Where we lay tile
We lay floor tile in kitchens, front entrances and mudrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms and basements: the rooms where wet boots, road salt and spills come in. In living rooms and bedrooms, wood or vinyl plank is warmer underfoot and the budget goes further.
In a basement the tile goes down on the concrete slab, and tile and waterproof vinyl plank are the two safest floors down there. We also tile bathroom walls and kitchen backsplashes, quoted at the same free measure.
Porcelain or ceramic
Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water than ceramic, so it is usually the better choice for floors, entrances, basements and bathrooms. Ceramic works well on walls, backsplashes and lower-traffic floors, and wood-look porcelain gives you the look of a plank floor in a room that sees water.
Large tiles, 24 by 48 inches and bigger, are laid at the same $13.50 per square foot. They show every dip, so we check the floor at the measure, put any levelling on the quote before the tile is ordered, and set them with levelling clips so the edges sit flush.
Your tile or ours
We supply porcelain and ceramic from our tile collection and bring samples to the free measure, so you see them in your own light before you choose. Tile you have already bought is fine too, as long as we approve the material first: our name goes on the finished floor.
Either way, the old floor is taken up and removed at no extra charge, and the thinset, grout and clips are priced on the same fixed written quote.

Frequently asked questions
How much does tile installation cost in Toronto?
Porcelain and ceramic tile is $13.50 per square foot for the installation, with the setting materials priced on top. The figure is confirmed in writing after a free in-home measure.
Do you tile walls and backsplashes as well as floors?
Yes. Floors, walls, backsplashes and bathrooms, with the layout set out before anything is fixed so the cuts fall where they should and the grout lines run straight.
Do you install large-format tile?
Yes. Large tiles, 24 by 48 inches and bigger, are $13.50 per square foot to install like any other porcelain or ceramic tile, with the setting materials priced on top. Big tiles show every dip in the floor, so we check the subfloor at the free measure and tell you if it needs levelling first.
Do you install natural stone?
Yes. Marble, travertine and slate, as well as porcelain and ceramic. Stone is priced in writing after the free in-home measure, once we have seen the stone and the floor it goes on.
How long does a tile job take?
Most homes are finished in one to three days, depending on the area and the layout. You will have the dates in writing before we start.
Do you supply the tile?
We supply and install, and we can also fit tile you have already bought. Send us your square footage and a photo of the space for a free quote.
You get one point of contact from your first quote to the day we clean up and hand the room back to you.
We take the time on subfloor preparation and fastening that makes that silence possible, because noise is the first sign of a rushed installation.
With hundreds of successful projects under our belt, you can trust us to deliver exceptional results for your space.
We will tell you honestly which products manage both, and which ones only look the part.
