Carmel is a 3-ply engineered wood floor from Goodfellow's San Marino collection, product code 714-40. Boards measure 9/16 inch thick by 7 3/8 inches wide by 74.8 inches long and carry a 3 mm wear layer, which leaves room for refinishing later in the floor's life. The surface is wire-brushed with a matte finish containing 10% aluminum oxide gloss, so it hides everyday scuffs better than a high-shine coating, and all four edges are micro-bevelled. It can be floated, glued or nailed down, on any level of the home, provided indoor relative humidity stays between 30% and 65%.
