Basements and slab floors are where solid hardwood gets into trouble, and Ice SB is engineered for exactly those spots: an oak surface over a basswood filleted core and backer, cleared for concrete subfloors and for radiant heat systems. The collection asks for 35% to 55% relative humidity in its S&B and Select grades, and 40% to 60% in handscraped rustic. European White Oak in SB runs 7.8″ and 9.8″ wide. The surface coating is PurFlex UV Oil, and trims such as nosing, T-mold and reducer are available.
