Scandium Xtra is an 8 mm laminate from the Atomic Xtra collection by HydraPlanks, with an oak design and a lightly embossed, extreme mat finish. It is rated water-resistant, so a glass of juice knocked over in the kitchen is no problem if you wipe it up promptly. Its aluminum oxide top surface earns an AC4 abrasion rating and Class 32 for general commercial use, which gives a busy family home plenty of margin. Planks are 193 mm wide and 1380 mm long with micro bevels on all four sides. They join with a Välinge 5G drop lock and float, and since no underlay is attached, we lay one first.
