The board is engineered, meaning a white oak wear surface is bonded to layers beneath it, and that layered build helps a 6.5″ wide plank stay flat as indoor humidity rises and falls. It is 3/4″ thick and supplied in random lengths. The product type is distressed, so the face carries texture that hides light scratches better than a smooth board, which suits busy kitchens, dining rooms and family rooms.
