Sand is part of Next Floor's Catamaran range, an 8 mm floating floor with an AC4 abrasion class for commercial traffic. For planning an order, each carton holds 8 planks, covers 20.4 sq ft and weighs 30 lbs, a manageable load to carry into a condo or up a flight of stairs. The planks are 7.7" x 47.8" with an embossed-in-register texture, and four-sided colour-enhanced bevels outline every board. They lock with an angle-angle click, so there is no adhesive involved. Sand may be installed on, above or below grade, and over water-based radiant heat but not electric.
