American Oak 7 Collection-Sky By Vidar Flooring

Sky is a good candidate for a home with hydronic radiant heat, since Vidar Design Flooring lists it as compatible. It is an American white oak plank in engineered multi-layer construction, with a 3mm dry sawn veneer. Vidar suggests keeping rooms at 40%-50% humidity and 68°F – 72°F, which keeps a wood floor settled through a Canadian winter. Sky measures 195mm wide and 18mm thick, in random lengths with 33%-50% at full length, so there are plenty of long boards. The surface is wire brushed and BONA UV lacquered to an ultra matte sheen. At 1360 on the Janka scale, it suits family homes. Installation is nail down through the tongue and groove, with glue assist. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Sky across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
