We start by checking that the subfloor is flat and clean, then lay the planks as a floating floor, leaving a small expansion space around the edges that the baseboard or quarter round covers. No glue or nails go into the subfloor. Art District, a Light Brown WPC vinyl in Twelve Oaks' Surewood range, is sized 5/16” x 7” x 48”. The wood-plastic composite core is comfortable to stand on in a kitchen or laundry area, and a 20 mil (0.5 mm) wear layer guards the surface. Once installed, Twelve Oaks recommends keeping the home at 65–80 °F with 35%–55% relative humidity.
