Wood floors move with the seasons, and this collection gives you a target: 35% to 55% relative humidity for Ash SB in the S&B and Select grades, or 40% to 60% for handscraped rustic boards. Run a humidifier in January and the floor stays put. Ash SB is engineered, with a basswood filleted core and backer under an oak surface, so it handles a slab or a radiant heat system better than a solid board would. European White Oak is milled 7.8″ and 9.8″ wide in SB.
