Smooth, wire brushed and handscraped are the three surfaces available, and Pure SB can be specified in any of them. A smooth board shows a cleaner line in a modern room, while wire brushing opens the grain and takes the edge off scuffs. Underneath, it is engineered oak bonded onto a basswood filleted core and backer with a PurFlex UV Oil coating, in European White Oak, or North American White or Red Oak. Subfloors can be wood, concrete or a radiant heat system, and the floor is radiant heat compliant.
