If the floor has to go over a concrete basement slab, Atlas Maple (01039) is rated for below grade as well as on and above, and its SPC core is waterproof, which is what a slab really asks for. Shaw Floors builds this Floorté Pro plank in the United States at 5 mm thick, 7 inches by 48 inches, with an accent bevel edge. Protection is a 20 mil wear layer under a ScuffResist Platinum finish. The XPO pad attached to the back softens the step on concrete and means no underlay order. Atlas Maple floats, so nothing is fixed to the slab.
