Wide boards and a textured face define Cliffside, an engineered white oak floor from Golden Choice. Each plank measures 7.5″ across and 3/4″ thick, or 190.5 × 19 mm, and comes in random lengths that stagger naturally through a room. The surface is distressed, a finish that already looks lived in, so new marks from chair legs and pet claws do not stand out the way they would on a smooth board. Engineered hardwood is built in layers, which makes a wide plank like this a safer bet in a condo or over concrete than solid wood. A 50 lb carton covers 19.73 sq. ft.
