Bedrooms and home offices suit its matte character: the surface is wire brushed and smoked, finished in UV oil / matte lacquer, and edged with a microbevel. High board variation and ABCD grading bring clear differences from plank to plank. The oak's Janka hardness is 1360. Clouette is 9/16 in thick with random lengths of 24–87 in, handles radiant heat and meets CARB2.
