Crag puts an oak face layer over a multi-layer plywood core, which copes with changes in humidity better than a solid board does. Fuzion cuts it 6 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick in random lengths up to 71 inches, with bevelled edges and a lightly wirebrushed surface. Moderate variation, rated level 3, means the floor reads as natural wood rather than one repeated tone. The UV cured polyurethane finish carries aluminum oxide for scratch resistance, and the boards can go on, above or below grade and over hydronic radiant heat.
