Commercial floors in offices, corridors and retail units are where a carpet tile like Old Base earns its keep. This commercial carpet tile comes from the Inglewood collection by Fuzion and uses solution dyed nylon, a fibre coloured during manufacture so the shade goes right through each strand. Old Base is specified at 1/12" gauge with its face weight put at 16 oz. per sq. yd. The underside is PVC with fibreglass. The format is 20" x 19.7", installed by full spread glue. Four layouts are listed: ashlar, brick, monolithic and quarter turn, and because the floor is modular a damaged piece can be changed by itself.
