Hawkwood is a Timberline dryback plank meant for rooms that take a beating. Its wear layer measures 20 mil, listed as 0.5 mm, and the warranty includes 20-year limited heavy commercial as well as lifetime limited residential and structural. Boards are 9 1/4 inches by 60 inches at 2 1/2 mm thick, with bevelled edges and an embossed in register finish. Installation is a full glue down using pressure sensitive adhesive, so an uneven subfloor has to be levelled first. Basements are fine, since Fuzion approves on, above and below grade, but do not put it over radiant heat. A carton covers 38.94 square feet. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Hawkwood across Toronto and the GTA, with glue-down vinyl installation from $5.50 per square foot, including glue.
