It is engineered oak, built on a basswood filleted core and backer, in European White Oak, North American White Oak or North American Red Oak, depending on the width you want. The surface coating is PurFlex UV Oil. Because the construction is layered rather than solid, the floor is approved over radiant heat and over concrete as well as standard wood subfloors. Keep the room between 35% and 55% relative humidity in the Select and S&B grades.
