GreenTouch's Maple Saturn, SKU MP1316, combines hard maple with a handscraped texture and a matte finish. It is a tongue-and-groove board, 3/4" thick and 7 1/4" wide, sold in random lengths up to 60". Micro-bevelled edges define each plank. Installation is by nailing down or gluing down, both permanent methods that keep the floor firmly attached to the subfloor. That makes it well suited to bedrooms, studies and upper-floor rooms where you want a floor that stays put for years. The texture also hides the scuffs of normal living better than a smooth face would.
