The build is 5 mm overall, a 3.5 mm rigid core sitting on a 1.5 mm EVA pad that is bonded on at the factory, so there is nothing separate to roll out first. The core is rated 100% waterproof, using what Baronwood calls German technology, which is the reason this line goes into kitchens and basements. The top surface carries a 12 mil wear layer.
