Desert Oak (R02) is part of Lee Flooring's 24Hr Water-Resistant collection, so the surface is made to cope with the spills that come with a busy kitchen or front entry. The AC4 rating covers heavier household traffic, which matters in homes with dogs or young children. Lee lists the board size as 7 1/2 inches wide by 48 inches long and 1/2 inch thick, and one box covers 20.8 square feet. Desert Oak goes down as a floating floor, so nothing is nailed or glued into your subfloor. It is rated for use over hydronic radiant heat as well.
