Honopu is an SPC vinyl plank, which means a rigid stone-composite core, so it is waterproof and stays dimensionally stable when a room heats up or cools down. Each plank measures 5.5 mm thick, and that figure includes a 1.5 mm EVA pad already attached to the back, so there is no separate underlay to buy and footsteps land a little softer. The wear layer measures 0.5 mm, or 20 mil. Planks run 5.83″ by 48″, with an embossed in register texture and micro-bevels that break up the surface into separate boards. It floats on a Unidrop system and can be installed on any level, basements included. A box covers 23.31 sq. ft. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Honopu across Toronto and the GTA, with vinyl installation from $3.20 per square foot.
