Its 0.5 mm (20 mil) wear layer guards the surface against everyday scuffs and scratches from toys, shoes and paws. Underneath is an SPC core, a dense stone-composite material that is waterproof and holds its shape through seasonal temperature swings. The plank measures 6 mm overall, and that includes a 1 mm EVA pad already fixed to the back, which helps quiet footsteps. Texture is embossed in register, and the edges are micro-beveled. It installs as a floating floor using the 5G® Drop Lock System, on any level of the home.
