Apuan

Apuan is a glazed porcelain tile from 1867 Floors with accentuated veining, so the vein pattern is pronounced rather than faint. It is sold with a matt finish, and there is also a glossy decor piece for accent areas such as a backsplash or a feature strip. Apuan is non-rectified: its edges come from the press with a slightly softened profile instead of being ground square, so it is set with a somewhat wider grout joint than rectified tile. That joint is forgiving of small size differences between tiles. Porcelain has a dense body that absorbs very little water, which suits bathrooms, kitchens and entryways, and the matt surface is the sensible choice where floors get wet. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Apuan across Toronto and the GTA, with tile installation from $13.50 per square foot.
