Product Specifications
Unlike most of the Summit collection, Birch Natural is birch rather than oak, and Richmond lists its colour as brown at a medium shade. The birch takes the same treatment as the oak boards here: wire brushed first, then sealed in low gloss UV, over a multi-ply engineered core measuring 3/4" thick and 6" wide. The boards lock together tongue and groove, which leaves us the choice of floating, gluing, nailing or stapling, and the floor is cleared for radiant heat once the instructions are checked. It suits residential and light commercial jobs and is certified CARB 2, FloorScore, Lacey and PEFC. A pallet holds 48 cartons at 18.65 square feet each. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Birch Natural across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
