The surface is smoked and wire brushed, then finished in UV lacquer at a matte gloss level of 5–15%. At 1360 on the Janka scale, it is a practical choice for kitchens, family rooms and homes with kids. Construction is 7–9 ply under a sliced veneer of 2 mm nominal thickness, so this is engineered hardwood rather than solid. Because it can be stapled, glued or floated, we have options for different subfloors, and it is radiant heat approved.
