Forged is a wide 9" x 60" vinyl plank from the Dynamix XL Plank collection by Fuzion, and at 8.3 mm thick it is a substantial floor. Inside, a 5mm wood-plastic composite (WPC) core sits with 1.8mm of LVT and 1.5mm of cork. The cork helps soften footsteps and cut down on hollow sound, useful in condos. The 0.55mm / 22 mil surface layer has an embossed, UV-coated finish, and the edges are micro-beveled on four sides. It installs as a floating floor on, above or below grade and is suitable with hydronic radiant heating. Warranties are limited lifetime residential and structural, and 15-year limited heavy commercial wear.
