Stone is the smooth white oak option in Goodfellow's Riverside Heights collection, so the grain reads flat rather than brushed. The construction is engineered: 2 mm of wear layer over a multi-ply tongue and groove core, in a plank 1/2 inch thick by 4 3/4 inches wide with micro bevels on four sides. Its matte finish carries 10% aluminum oxide gloss. Because the boards float, glue or nail down and are approved for all levels, Stone works in a basement rec room as well as a second floor bedroom. Keep the house between 30% and 65% relative humidity, which in the GTA usually means running a humidifier in January.
