Uptown is a 5″ wide white oak plank, 1/2″ thick, supplied in random lengths between 18″ and 48″. Its surface is wire brushed and smoked with a 30% gloss Endura aluminum oxide finish, and the microbevelled edges let each board read on its own. Grading is ABCD with medium board variation, which gives some contrast without the wide swings of a rustic floor. Construction is 9-ply with a precision tongue and groove beneath a sliced 2 mm veneer, it is approved over radiant heat, and it is CARB2 compliant for low formaldehyde emissions. The Janka rating is 1450.
