Wrought Iron is a handscraped maple floor, 7.5″ wide and 1/2″ thick, in random lengths between 16″ and 75″. Maple reads as a tighter, quieter grain than oak and sits at 1260 Janka. Underneath the veneer, which is sliced at 2 mm, the plank is 9-Ply with a precision tongue and groove; it is cleared for radiant heat and is CARB2 compliant. Microbevelled edges and a low 15 to 20% gloss keep the scraped surface from looking shiny, and both help disguise the scuffs a busy entry collects. The finish is Endura, an aluminum oxide coating. Board variation is medium on an ABCD grade.
