Melville from Goodfellow's Hydrasafe collection is a 12 mm laminate that can go on any level of the house. Start with what matters in a kitchen: it is water-resistant for 30 hours, and the painted bevels come with waxed edges. The AC4 abrasion rating handles regular foot traffic from kids and guests. Melville's 6.5" x 48" planks have an embossed-in-register (EIR) finish, so the surface texture matches the grain. We install it as a floating floor using the 5G Drop Lock system, which means nothing is nailed or glued to your subfloor. If you are planning a larger room, note that each box holds 12.96 sq ft.
