Provence is a walnut herringbone from Vidar Flooring's Black Walnut 5 Herringbone Collection, part of the Black Walnut Herringbone / Chevron range. The species is American Black Walnut, offered in Select / Select & Better grades. Each board is 5" wide and 3/4" thick with a 3 mm veneer on top, which makes it engineered hardwood and a steadier choice than solid walnut for a patterned layout. A wirebrushed texture finishes the face. Herringbone takes more cutting and planning than a straight lay, and the result draws the eye, so use it as a feature in a foyer or dining room.
