Black Walnut 5 Herringbone Collection

Walnut is what separates this herringbone from Vidar's oak patterns. The 5 inch boards are laid in a zigzag that shows off the dark, varied grain walnut is known for, and the Natural and Provence listings give American Black Walnut at 3/4 inch thick. The Chocolate listing shows a 9/16 inch board, so we check that detail with you before ordering.

Every colour has a 3 mm veneer and a wirebrushed surface, and grades are Select and Select and Better, so knots are kept to a minimum. Herringbone takes careful layout: straight reference lines are set out first, then each short board is fitted against the side of the last, so allow a little more installation time than a plank floor. A walnut herringbone suits a dining room, study or entrance where a richer floor is wanted, and the wirebrushed texture keeps everyday scuffs less noticeable.
