American Oak 5 Herringbone Collection

Herringbone boards have square ends and go down in a zigzag, with the end of each piece butting into the side of the next. Here they are American White Oak, 5 inches (130 mm) wide and ¾ inch (18 mm) thick, all cut to one fixed length, and each has 3 mm of dry sawn oak on top of an engineered multi-layer backing.

Unlike Vidar's white oak chevron, this herringbone is offered in Character grade as well as Select and Select and Better, so you can have a patterned floor with visible knots for a warmer, more rustic room. Surfaces are wire brushed, coated in ultra matte BONA UV lacquer and given micro bevelled edges, a forgiving mix in a kitchen or hallway with daily traffic. You can also run hydronic radiant heat under it. Box coverage varies by product, from 16.79 to 20.99 sq ft.

There are eight colours: Wheat Berry, Sky, Pearl, Naked Oak, Moon Light, Macaroon, Honey Wheat and Camel. 22FLOORING supplies and installs American Oak 5 Herringbone Collection across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
