Wire brushing leaves a textured grain that tends to disguise minor scuffs better than a smooth board, which helps in family rooms and hallways. Under the 2 mm wear layer is a multi-ply core with tongue-and-groove joints, a build that handles seasonal change better than solid wood. You can have it floated, glued or nailed, and it suits any level, from a main-floor living room to a finished basement, as long as relative humidity stays within 30%–65%.
