Wesport (2185) is an SPC vinyl plank from the Tidal collection by HydraLuxe Rigid, and a Designers' Choice selection. The rigid stone-composite core, listed as 70% calcium carbonate and 30% vinyl, is 3.4 mm of the 4.4 mm total, which makes the plank waterproof and steady when a room heats up or cools down. Beneath it sits 1 mm of EVA foam backing, so no separate underlay is required, and the sound ratings of IIC 71 and STC 72 are useful figures for a condo board. A 0.3 mm wear layer under a UV-cured polyurethane surface with ceramic bead technology takes the daily scratching.
