Beaulieu Flooring Review (2026)
An installer’s look at Beaulieu: SPC vinyl with cork backing, and broadloom carpet which 22FLOORING supplies but does not install.

Quick answer
Where the numbers come from
Every figure below comes from the spec sheets of the 56 Beaulieu products on our site as of September 2026. Where a sheet does not state something, we say so rather than fill the gap. We have not run our own wear tests and we do not give star ratings. Individual collections vary and every product page shows its own numbers.
The two halves of the range
Cork backing is the interesting part
Twenty-two of the vinyl sheets list a cork backing rather than the usual foam. Cork is denser and more resilient than IXPE, which means two practical things: it deadens impact sound better, and it recovers its shape rather than compressing permanently under a heavy sofa leg.
In a condo that matters. Building sound rules are usually the deciding factor in what underlay you are allowed, and an attached cork backing can satisfy them where a thin foam will not. Get your building’s requirement in writing before you order, because an attached backing cannot be swapped for a different one later.
About the carpet
22FLOORING supplies Beaulieu carpet – Tryesse, Nyluxe, Grand Manor and the rest – but we do not install carpet. If you want a Beaulieu broadloom we will price and order the material for you, and you arrange fitting separately.
We would rather tell you that plainly than take the order and sort it out afterwards. Everything else we carry, we install ourselves.
What to check before you buy
Which half you are in. Beaulieu vinyl we install; Beaulieu carpet is supply only.
Cork or IXPE backing. Cork performs better acoustically and costs more. In a house it rarely matters; in a condo it can be the difference between approved and refused.
Plank width. 232 mm is very wide and shows an out-of-square wall.
What it costs installed
Beaulieu floating vinyl is from $3.20 per square foot installed. Glue-down vinyl is from $5.50 including glue. Carpet is supplied, not installed. Taking up your old floor is included, the floor itself is priced on top, and the full list is on our flooring installation cost page. For how we install it, see our page on vinyl flooring installation in Toronto.

Frequently asked questions
Does 22FLOORING install Beaulieu carpet?
No. We supply Beaulieu carpet and we will price and order the material for you, but we do not install carpet. Fitting is arranged separately. Everything else we carry we install with our own crew.
What is cork backing and is it better?
Cork is a denser, more resilient backing than the usual IXPE foam. It deadens impact sound better and recovers its shape instead of compressing permanently under heavy furniture. Twenty-two of the Beaulieu vinyl sheets use it. In a condo it can be the difference between meeting your building’s sound rule and not.
Is Beaulieu vinyl waterproof?
The SPC lines have a waterproof stone-polymer core. As always that describes the plank – water that gets underneath a floating floor still has to be dried out, and a cork backing will hold moisture if it is soaked.
Is Beaulieu a Canadian company?
Beaulieu is a long-established Canadian flooring manufacturer. Where individual products are made varies and the sheets do not always state it, so we will not claim more than that.
Can Beaulieu vinyl go in a condo?
Yes, and the cork-backed lines are the ones to look at, because attached cork often satisfies a building’s sound rating where thin foam does not. Get the requirement in writing from your property manager before ordering – an attached backing cannot be changed later.
