Low Tide (17051) is flexible about the subfloor. This Shaw Floors Biscayne Bay colour (SW520) can be nailed or stapled over plywood, glued to concrete, or floated, and Shaw rates it for above, on and below grade. It is engineered birch, with a 1.2 mm veneer and a total thickness of 3/8″. The boards are 5″ across and come in lengths from 13.8″ to 47.24″, finished with a scraped texture, micro bevel edges and a UV aluminum oxide coating at 20% gloss. Radiant heat is fine underneath. Colour variation is moderate, so the floor looks varied without being busy.
