About the collection
Shaw Engineered Hardwoods by Shaw Floors Engineered Hardwood
This Shaw Floors line pairs a UV aluminum oxide finish with micro-bevelled edges on every plank, rather than the Repel water-resistant coating used elsewhere in the brand. It mixes four species: white oak, birch, hickory and plantation teak.
Biscayne Bay and St. Petersburg in birch, along with Arbor Place in hickory, are 5" wide and 3/8" thick with a scraped face. Gramercy Park and Regatta Teak step up to 1/2". Argonne Forest Oak is the heavyweight at 7.48" wide and 9/16" thick, with a thicker 3 mm veneer that leaves more wood for a future refinish. Fifth Avenue Oak and Lexington Ave Oak HB are 4.72" wide and glue-down only, so they need a flat, well-prepared subfloor. Everything else takes a nailed, stapled, glued or floating install, and all of it is graded for use above, on or below ground level, basements included.
The collection has 38 colours, including Seagrass, Trellis, Vanderbilt and Tapestry. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Shaw Engineered Hardwoods across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
