An installer’s look at Impressive Floors: 110 products, white oak engineered hardwood, Diamond HD finishes, and what they cost installed in Toronto.

Pine Eterna Collection by Impressive Floors, floor sample

Quick answer

Impressive Floors is a 110-product range at 22FLOORING, predominantly white oak engineered hardwood across the Platino, Contempa, Paramount, Eterna and Tremblant collections. Thirty-eight sheets allow float, staple, nail or glue, which is unusually flexible, and the finishes split between UV-cured acrylic and a Diamond HD nanotechnology coating. Most carry a 30-year residential finish warranty. We have no customer reviews of Impressive Floors to show you, so this is an installer’s assessment built from the specification sheets. Installed by 22FLOORING, nailed or glued engineered hardwood is from $4.90 per square foot including glue and nails, and floating from $3.20.

Where the numbers come from

Every figure below comes from the spec sheets of the 110 Impressive Floors products on our site as of September 2026. Where a sheet does not state something, we say so rather than fill the gap. We have not run our own wear tests and we do not give star ratings.

Four installation methods on one product

Thirty-eight sheets allow float, staple, nail or glue. That flexibility is worth real money, because the same board can go over plywood in a house and over concrete in a condo without changing product.

It is also where quotes diverge. Nailing or gluing is $4.90 per square foot; floating the identical board is $3.20. If you are comparing two quotes on the same Impressive floor and the numbers differ, this is usually why – one assumes floating and the other does not. Ask which method each quote is based on.

What a finish warranty does and does not cover

A 30-year residential finish warranty covers the finish failing – wearing through or delaminating under normal domestic use. It does not cover scratches, dents, water damage, or the wood underneath.

In practice, finish warranties are rarely claimed because proving normal use over years is difficult. Treat it as a signal of the manufacturer’s confidence rather than an insurance policy. The finish on these sheets – UV-cured acrylic or the Diamond HD coating – is genuinely hard-wearing, which is the more useful fact.

What to check before you buy

Which installation method your quote assumes. It is a $1.70 per square foot difference.

The veneer thickness, if refinishing matters – the sheets do not always state it.

Board width against the room, as with any wide-plank oak.

What it costs installed

Floating laminate and click vinyl are from $3.20 per square foot, glue-down vinyl from $5.50 including glue, and engineered hardwood nailed or glued from $4.90 including glue and nails. Taking up your old floor is included, the floor itself is priced on top, and the full list is on our flooring installation cost page. Frequently asked questions

Can Impressive Floors be floated over concrete?

Thirty-eight sheets allow float, staple, nail or glue, so yes where the sheet permits it. Floating is also the cheaper installation at $3.20 per square foot rather than $4.90. We test the slab for moisture and flatness while we measure.

What is Diamond HD nanotechnology?

The manufacturer’s name for a hard surface coating, listed on 32 of the sheets we hold. It improves scratch and scuff resistance. No coating makes a floor scratch-proof – felt pads under furniture still do more than any surface treatment.

What does the 30-year finish warranty cover?

The finish failing under normal domestic use – wearing through or delaminating. It does not cover scratches, dents, water damage, or the wood beneath. Our installation carries a separate two-year warranty.

Is Impressive Floors solid or engineered?

Engineered, predominantly in white oak. Engineered handles Toronto’s humidity swings better than solid at wide board widths, and it can go over concrete where solid cannot.

Can it be refinished?

Where the veneer allows it, usually once or twice, but the sheets do not always state veneer thickness. Ask us about the specific collection before counting on it.
