Verità

Verità pairs a smooth surface with a flat sheen, so the grain reads clean and quiet without the shine of a glossy finish. It has two styles, Virtuoso and Poesia, each offered in birch, white oak, red oak, hickory and hard maple, for ten products in all. Flat, smooth boards suit modern living rooms and bedrooms, and the low sheen hides light scuffs better than a shiny floor.

Birch is sold as 3/4" solid only. Every other species also has an engineered version in 11.4 mm and 18.4 mm thicknesses. Engineered widths reach 7" in white oak and hard maple and 5" in red oak and hickory. Solid widths run 2 1/4" to 4 1/4", though hickory comes in 3 1/4" only. Where the floor sits on concrete, such as a basement, the engineered version is the practical choice.
