Evergreen

On our site, Evergreen laminate is sold as waterproof laminate, with 24 styles in two plank formats. Sixteen are 12 mm thick, 195 mm wide and 1215 mm long. The other eight are 10 mm thick but larger, at 238 mm wide and 1515 mm long, which means fewer end joints across an open living area or a long hallway.

Every style carries an AC4 abrasion class, which stands up to normal household traffic in kitchens, hallways and entrances. The surface has an embossed grain, so the planks feel like wood underfoot as well as looking it, and the semi-gloss finish has a little more shine than a matte floor. Because the line is sold as waterproof, it is worth a look for kitchens, laundry rooms and basements where ordinary laminate can swell. The styles are listed by number rather than by name, so compare the colour photos side by side before choosing.

22FLOORING supplies and installs Evergreen laminate across Toronto and the GTA, with laminate installation from $3.20 per square foot.
