Seabreeze

Unlike the waterproof Fuzion lines, this collection is sold as water-resistant laminate. It makes the most sense in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and home offices, where water means the odd spill that gets wiped up rather than a puddle left to sit. The planks are 12mm thick and 7 1/2" x 50 7/10", with an authentic emboss texture and a sealed 4-sided bevel.

Planks are floated, and the line is rated for on, above or below grade and for hydronic radiant heat systems. If it is going into a basement, start with a dry, level slab, since the laminate itself is not sold as waterproof. It carries CARB II and FloorScore certifications. You get a limited 30-year residential warranty with 15-year limited light commercial wear coverage, and each carton holds 16.25 sq ft.

Five colours are available: Hyacinth, Iris, Laurel, Primrose and Water Lily. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Seabreeze across Toronto and the GTA, with laminate installation from $3.20 per square foot.
