Atomic

Beaulieu's PrimaPlanks Atomic line is a slim, flat-matte laminate for everyday living spaces. Each plank is 8 mm thick and 7.598" (193 mm) wide, with a lightly embossed, extreme mat finish under an aluminum oxide top surface. The AC4, Class 32 rating is for general commercial use, so hallways, family rooms and bedrooms in a house with kids and pets are well within its range.

The boards join on a Välinge 5G drop-lock system and float over the subfloor with no glue. No pad is attached, so an underlay goes down first. All four edges carry a micro bevel, and the design runs through 10 plank visuals before it repeats, which keeps the floor from looking patterned. This is the regular version rather than the water-resistant one, so it suits dry rooms more than laundry areas or damp basements.

There are seven colours: Chromium, Francium, Iridium, Manganese, Nitrogen, Rhodium and Scandium. Six are oak visuals and Francium is elm. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Atomic across Toronto and the GTA, with laminate installation from $3.20 per square foot.
