Gallo Xtra

Waxed, micro-bevelled edges and a water-resistant listing separate the HydraPlanks version from regular Gallo. The wax treatment on all four sides helps protect the joints, where laminate is most exposed to spills, so this line makes more sense for kitchens and back entrances. It also moves to the Välinge 5G drop-lock system, where the short end of each plank presses down into place instead of being angled in.

Dimensions stay at 8.3 mm thick and 7.68" (195 mm) wide. The oak visuals have an embossed texture and a mat aluminum oxide top rated AC4, Class 32, for general commercial use, so hallways and family rooms shared with pets are fine. No underlay is attached, and a pattern repeat of 6 means boxes should be blended during the install.

Twelve colours are available, each with Xtra in the name: Vaporetti, Rialto, Renzo, Malo, Hermine, Gondola, Gaelic, Castello, Arzon, Armoric, Alboro and Agostino. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Gallo Xtra across Toronto and the GTA, with laminate installation from $3.20 per square foot.
