About the collection
American Hickory by Novella
Novella offers this line in 13 styles, including Dickens, Austen, Hemingway, Orwell and Alcott, each named after an author. Every one shares the same plank: 6½" wide and ¾" thick, in random lengths from 16" to 75", with a wirebrushed texture, a matte gloss level and a micro bevel on the edges.
That combination is practical. Hickory is a hard species with plenty of natural colour variation, and a brushed, matte surface hides scratches, paw marks and dust far better than a glossy floor. It holds up well in busy family homes, entrances and hallways.
The specs approve installation above, on or below grade, so basements are an option as well as main and upper floors. Boards are tongue and groove, with nail and glue listed as the installation method. A carton covers 19.53 sq ft. 22FLOORING supplies and installs American Hickory across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
