Cascais Series

Cascais moves Purelux white oak up to a 7-1/2" width with a thicker 3 mm veneer and a Select (ABC) grade, so the boards show fewer marks than a character floor while still looking natural. Every plank is 3/4" thick in random lengths, built on a multi-layer plywood core with micro V-bevelled edges and a UV lacquer finish with aluminum oxide.

Texture is where the seven colours differ. Alliance, Carson, Fordville, Lakota and Northwood are brushed. Leeds adds hand-scraping to the brushing for a worn-in feel, and Minto combines saw marks with brushing for a rougher, sawn look. If the house has kids or a large dog, the textured options do a better job of hiding everyday scratches.

A box covers 19.43 sq ft and weighs 48 lbs, and the series is rated for on, above or below grade. Purelux backs it with a 30-year limited residential warranty and an 8-year limited commercial warranty. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Cascais across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
