About the collection
Beacon Hill 628 by Next Floor
Beacon Hill 628 is Next Floor's 1/2" (12 mm) engineered plank, a sensible middle ground when you want a sawn wood surface without a tall board. It is 7-1/2" wide, sold in random lengths up to 75" with a premium sort, and more than 60% of the floor area is made up of full 75" boards, so you see long runs of grain.
The build is seven layers over acacia core layers, topped with a 2 mm sawn oak or hickory veneer. Its wire brushed face, bevelled edges and low luster UV-cured polyurethane containing aluminum oxide stand up well to chairs, pets and kids. Boards use a tongue and groove joint, and the spec sheet lists stapling, nailing, gluing or floating. Oak colours are rated for hydronic in-floor heating only when floated.
There are five colours: Faded Oak, Sunset Oak and Wheatfield Oak, plus Natural Hickory and Rich Hickory. 22FLOORING supplies and installs Beacon Hill 628 across Toronto and the GTA, with engineered hardwood installation from $4.90 per square foot, including glue and nails.
