Traktion

Traktion is Biyork's loose lay vinyl, a 5mm plank that lies flat on the subfloor without click joints. A fiberglass mesh layer inside keeps each plank stable. Loose lay goes down quickly and is easy to repair, since a damaged plank can be lifted out and replaced, which is useful in rentals, basements, playrooms and small commercial spaces.

The planks are 7.36" x 48" with a 20mil wear layer, a random embossed-in-register texture and micro-bevelled edges. How much the colour varies depends on the style. Quake is low variation; Afterburn, Brimstone and Haywire are medium; Silverbolt and Trailbreak are high, so pick one of those two if you want more character from board to board. Biyork backs Traktion with a 30 year residential warranty and a 10 year light commercial warranty, and it has verified Environmental Product Declarations.
